Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2025
Your privacy is critically important to us. This Web FTP Client is designed with privacy as a core principle. This document outlines the types of information that are handled by the application and how we safeguard it.
Credential Handling
The most sensitive information you provide is your FTP login credentials (host, username, and password). Here is exactly how we handle them:
- No Permanent Storage: Your FTP credentials are NEVER stored in a database, log file, or any other permanent storage medium on our server.
- Session-Based: Credentials are held only within your active PHP session on the server. A session is a temporary way to store information for individual users.
- Automatic Deletion: This session data is automatically and irrevocably destroyed when you click the "Logout" button or when the server session expires due to inactivity (typically after 30 minutes).
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, track, or store any personally identifiable information. This includes:
- Your IP address.
- Your browser or device information.
- Information about the files you upload, download, or edit.
- Any analytics or usage data.
The application's purpose is solely to facilitate a direct connection between your browser and your FTP server. It does not engage in any form of data harvesting.
Security
While the application is built to be secure, the ultimate security of your data transfer depends on the connection. We strongly recommend that you only use this tool on a website that is secured with SSL/TLS (i.e., the URL starts with https://). This encrypts all data, including your credentials and file contents, as it travels between your browser and the web server hosting this tool.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
